The Regional Dispatcher role is pivotal in managing last-mile transportation at the regional fulfillment center by transforming outbound demand into well-structured, efficient delivery plans. This position emphasizes high delivery performance, cost control, and comprehensive proof-of-delivery closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and control daily and weekly dispatch schedules according to outbound demand and deployment timing.
• Optimize vehicle loading and designate delivery routes prior to dispatch windows.
• Cluster deliveries geographically to maximize route efficiency and minimize cost per drop.
• Maintain foresight on delivery demand and pre-confirm capacity.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly staged, documented, and validated before departure.
• Execute dispatch via structured system tools, eliminating informal communication reliance.
• Perform verification of loads and labels to synchronize physical goods with digital records.
• Provide real-time updates on dispatch and delivery statuses using system platforms.
• Guarantee alignment between dispatch plans, deliveries made, and recorded results.
• Manage both in-house fleets and third-party logistics (3PL) drivers adhering to uniform delivery standards.
• Conduct thorough end-of-day reviews with complete proof-of-delivery and exception handling closure.

Performance Expectations

• Same-day full proof-of-delivery capture and closure.
• Maintain vehicle utilization at or above 80% per delivery run.
• Achieve delivery in full, on time (DIFOT) performance consistently above 95% on all runs.
• Zero dependency on informal dispatch channels beyond approved system tools.
• Ensure real-time visibility during all active deliveries and route executions.
• Daily delivery reporting that is accurate, comprehensive, and actionable.
• Monitor and improve delivery run costs over time.
• Clear distinction and routing between transport and upstream delivery failures.
• Active management of 3PL partners based on agreed service level agreements and performance indicators.

Eligibility and Qualifications

• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in dispatch, transport coordination, or last-mile logistics roles.

Required Skills

• Excellent coordination across Inventory, Operations, and Transport departments.
• Deep understanding of last-mile logistics challenges in emerging markets.
• Experience in managing 3PL networks and driver performance monitoring.

Desirable Skills

• Proven accountability for delivery performance and adherence to DIFOT metrics.
• Practical experience with dispatch software such as Loginext or Routific.
