Role Overview

We are seeking a Regional Director of Sales to lead and implement strategic sales initiatives for a designated set of senior living communities. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this role collaborates closely with operations and community sales teams to formulate market-specific tactics aimed at boosting lead generation, enhancing conversion rates, accelerating resident move-ins, and achieving occupancy and revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and carry out regional and community sales strategies aligned with organizational goals, budgets, occupancy targets, and market specifics.
  • Collaborate with Executive Directors and sales leaders to set clear goals, enhance accountability, and overcome challenges impacting sales outcomes.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and developmental support through visits, personalized guidance, sales call participation, skill training, and performance evaluation.
  • Track sales pipeline elements such as inquiries, tours, deposits, move-ins, closing ratios, outreach efforts, and apartment vacancy rates, initiating corrective measures proactively.
  • Generate accurate sales forecasts and regularly brief regional and senior leadership on risks, trends, opportunities, and proposed actions.
  • Ensure proper and consistent use of the customer relationship management system including timely input, lead follow-up, management of the pipeline, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Lead occupancy enhancement and stabilization efforts for underperforming communities as required.
  • Support activities related to pre-opening, pre-leasing, acquisitions, and lease-ups by helping develop effective pipelines and sales practices.
  • Analyze local market trends, demographic data, referral channels, competitor pricing, product offerings, and customer preferences to inform actionable sales plans.
  • Work with Marketing to synchronize campaigns, digital efforts, events, outreach, and messaging to meet community needs and sales targets.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance sales culture focused on building authentic relationships and delivering outstanding prospective resident and family experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years in progressive senior living sales roles with multi-site or regional leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu.
  • Proven track record in driving occupancy increases, boosting conversion rates, mentoring sales teams, and implementing community-based sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care sales cycles, customer needs, and operational considerations.
  • Experience working with CRM technologies, sales analytics, forecasting, pipeline oversight, and performance reporting.
  • Capability to interpret market and sales data, pinpoint underlying issues, and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Strong communication skills, including relationship-building, coaching, presentations, and written/verbal interactions.
  • A leadership approach that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and adaptability in complex environments.
  • Excellent judgment, organizational skills, follow-through, and the ability to multitask across several communities and priorities.

Employee Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance featuring zero co-pay for mental health counseling
  • Dental and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan with matching contributions
