Role Summary
The Regional Director of Operations will oversee daily operational performance across an assigned region. This role is responsible for making sure teams, workflows, and resources are aligned with company objectives, while improving efficiency, quality, and customer experience. The position requires close coordination with leadership, product, technology, and client-facing teams to support growth and maintain service standards.
Key Duties
- Lead regional operations teams and provide direction on goals, priorities, and execution.
- Monitor performance metrics and operational reports to spot trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate workload allocation so staffing and resources are used effectively.
- Identify bottlenecks in processes and implement practical solutions backed by data.
- Work with technology and product partners to support process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Manage regional budgets and resource planning in line with business priorities.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and applicable industry standards.
- Support client relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver consistent service.
- Coach team members and help build strong, inclusive, high-performing remote teams.
Qualifications
- Strong background in operations leadership, with experience improving processes and managing performance across regional or multi-site operations.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret KPIs, and make decisions based on evidence and operational trends.
- Demonstrated people management skills, including coaching, performance oversight, and team development.
- Experience handling budgets, forecasting resource needs, and aligning spending with strategic goals.
- Customer-focused mindset with experience managing escalations and maintaining strong relationships.
- Prior exposure to insurance, insurtech, claims operations, or another regulated industry is preferred.
- Comfort working in fast-moving, technology-driven environments and supporting the adoption of AI, automation, and digital tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with varied stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
