About the Role

Our client, a private-equity-backed education management organization, is hiring a Regional Director of Operations to oversee a defined group of schools, working remotely from Minneapolis, MN. This leadership position involves providing strategic direction and operational management to ensure each school meets financial, enrollment, and regulatory benchmarks while delivering high-quality education that aligns with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement a clear regional vision that supports the organization's objectives and values.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration across functions and locations.
  • Respond to feedback from staff and families to drive continuous improvements.
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities and promote professional development throughout the organization.
  • Ensure consistent delivery and adherence to academic programs and organizational standards.
  • Support accreditation processes and quality assurance initiatives at all sites.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders to provide training and development opportunities for educators and program managers.
  • Manage regional profit and loss, ensuring financial and enrollment targets are met.
  • Oversee budgeting, expense control, and receivables in line with enrollment dynamics.
  • Use data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance and guide strategic decisions.
  • Identify operational improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain talent, building a pipeline for future leadership roles.
  • Provide coaching and leadership development support to site managers.
  • Manage onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new personnel.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and accountable organizational culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and state and local regulations.
  • Partner with marketing and internal teams to promote enrollment growth and enhance family engagement.
  • Serve as a community brand ambassador to build organizational reputation and visibility.
  • Frequent travel is required, approximately 50-75% across various locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of five years multi-site leadership experience in education, healthcare, retail, or similar sectors.
  • Strong preference for candidates with education sector experience.
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and developing effective teams.
  • Robust financial management skills with a history of meeting operational goals.
  • Adaptability to fast-changing environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities driven by data.
  • Experience using business systems and reporting tools for operational management.
  • Adept at building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.

Compensation and Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000 annually plus a 25% bonus potential. Total compensation may vary depending on qualifications. Additional benefits and incentive programs will be discussed during the hiring process.
