Job description
Role overview
This position offers genuine ownership and visibility across the wider business. You will take the lead on demand planning for the Americas, a strategically important and fast-moving region.
At WaterWipes, forecasting is treated as a key business lever rather than a routine support task. It helps shape planning, decision-making, and risk management. In this role, you will be responsible for the full regional demand plan and will sit at the heart of the S&OP process, helping influence overall business performance.
Your job will be to create one aligned view of demand, using data, commercial context, and cross-functional input to produce a forecast that Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain can trust.
You will turn market movement, customer patterns, promotional activity, pricing changes, and distribution shifts into a practical and reliable forecast that supports decisions.
Success in this role will not simply mean generating numbers. It will mean improving forecast accuracy, building stronger alignment, and enabling faster, better decisions across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of SKU-level and customer-level forecasts, improving them continuously through statistical and judgment-based methods.
- Review historical performance, identify demand patterns, and convert commercial drivers into accurate forecasts.
- Build in business inputs such as new product introductions, promotions, pricing actions, and changes in distribution.
- Keep forecasts current and accurate in planning platforms such as SAP and IBP.
- Track sell-in, sell-out, stock levels, and product availability in key markets.
- Use internal and external sources, including POS and market intelligence, to spot changes in demand.
- Assess risks and opportunities and translate them into clear forecast updates.
- Stay alert to changes in distribution, competitor behaviour, and channel dynamics.
- Lead the demand section of the monthly S&OP cycle with well-supported assumptions and insights.
- Bring Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to a shared demand view.
- Explain changes, risks, and trade-offs clearly so stakeholders can make informed decisions.
- Develop strong working relationships with commercial teams and distributors.
- Question inputs constructively, using evidence and insight.
- Serve as the regional source of truth for demand planning.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, investigate root causes, and implement improvements.
- Strengthen planning processes, tools, and data quality over time.
- Support the ongoing development of demand planning capability across the business.
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in demand planning.
- Practical experience with forecasting tools and large data sets.
- Exposure to S&OP processes and cross-functional planning.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-market environment with competing priorities.
- Ability to stay focused on accuracy and outcomes while managing complexity.
- Confidence in forming views from data and standing behind them.
- Strong ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable insight.
- Constructive influencing skills and the ability to challenge stakeholders effectively.
- Understanding of the commercial impact of forecasting decisions.
- Discipline in following process even when the environment is changing quickly.
- Ownership mindset, with attention to outcomes rather than just task completion.
Perks
- High ownership and accountability with minimal hierarchy.
- Direct exposure to commercial, financial, and supply chain decisions.
- The opportunity to influence how the business plans, invests, and grows.
- A work environment that values clarity, action, and accountability.
- Meaningful work with visible impact on business performance.
Eligibility
This role is aimed at professionals already working in demand planning or a closely related analytical and commercially connected role who are ready to take full ownership. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating across multiple markets and is able to handle changing priorities without losing focus on quality and results.
