Role Overview
The Regional Business Process Executive will support process improvement, standardization, and transformation work across the West and South Africa Region (WARO). Based in Accra, Ghana, this role works closely with regional leadership, business process owners, headquarters teams, agencies, and external vendors to identify opportunities, introduce better ways of working, and strengthen process performance across the region.
What You Will Do
- Review existing processes and spot opportunities to improve them through automation, digitization, standard operating methods, and sharing of best practices.
- Evaluate automation possibilities, including robotic process automation and macro-based tools, and coordinate with technical teams for delivery.
- Work with business process owners to understand requirements, shape enhancement requests, and help put system solutions in place.
- Document complete business workflows and make sure agencies receive clear process guidance.
- Contribute to and sometimes lead process improvement projects, especially those linked to Sales and Customer Service.
- Track KPIs, study performance results, and suggest corrective actions where needed.
- Collaborate with process owners and agency stakeholders to find ways to strengthen regional operations.
- Create and deliver training for business process specialists and other relevant stakeholders across agencies.
- Support change management efforts, respond to employee concerns, and help teams move smoothly into new ways of working.
- Prepare recurring reports and updates for regional leadership covering progress, issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Exposure to project management methods or credentials such as PMP, PMI, Agile, or Scrum.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or practical experience using continuous improvement methods.
- Prior exposure to the container shipping industry or a related logistics, maritime, or transportation setting is advantageous.
- Change management certification or hands-on experience supporting transformation initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical people.
- Ability to convert business needs into clear inputs for technical teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and the capability to analyse processes, identify gaps, and propose workable improvements.
- Experience working across functions and managing stakeholder expectations in a regional or matrixed environment.
- Understanding of process mining tools and techniques is a plus.
