Role Overview
The company is looking for a careful, driven Recruitment Specialist to support the Human Resources function. This person will help identify, engage, assess, and hire candidates for both tutoring and administrative roles. The position plays an important part in building a strong team committed to student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute hiring plans to bring in strong candidates.
- Advertise open roles on job boards, social platforms, and professional communities.
- Screen resumes and applications to shortlist suitable applicants.
- Carry out introductory phone calls and first-round interviews.
- Arrange interview schedules with hiring managers.
- Keep candidates informed and engaged during the full recruitment cycle.
- Check prior employment, education, licenses/certifications, and references.
- Update applicant tracking systems and hiring records accurately.
- Support onboarding activities and new-hire orientation.
- Develop relationships with colleges, universities, and industry groups.
- Represent the organization at career fairs and recruitment events.
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Compile hiring summaries and recruitment performance reports for leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a similar field.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must be based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Strong verbal and written communication, along with good people skills.
- Well-developed organization and time management capabilities.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools and online recruiting software.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Additional Information
This is a full-time remote role based in Washington, DC. The salary range for the position is $45,000 to $60,000 per year.
