Job description
Job purpose
This role is centered on overseeing the complete hiring journey, from attracting candidates through to successful onboarding. The specialist will support staffing plans, build sourcing approaches, manage applicants, and coordinate closely with hiring managers to deliver timely, effective, and high-quality recruitment outcomes. The position also supports employer branding efforts and ongoing improvements within the talent acquisition process.
Talent acquisition and workforce planning
- Work with senior leaders and department heads to understand hiring requirements and shape recruitment plans that support overall business goals.
- Help anticipate future hiring needs and identify pipeline requirements as part of workforce planning.
Sourcing and candidate engagement
- Use a variety of channels to find suitable talent, including job boards, professional networks, referrals, recruitment agencies, and LinkedIn.
- Carry out direct sourcing, headhunting, and talent mapping to create strong pipelines for niche and business-critical roles.
- Communicate with candidates in a professional manner and help ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
Recruitment process management
- Handle the full recruitment cycle, starting with vacancy posting and ending with onboarding support.
- Arrange interviews, assessments, and feedback discussions with hiring managers.
- Make sure job descriptions are accurate, detailed, and aligned with the organization’s requirements.
- Support offer discussions and the completion of employment contracts.
Reporting and compliance
- Keep recruitment records, candidate information, and hiring results up to date in the applicant tracking system.
- Create recruitment dashboards and reports to monitor measures such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source performance.
- Ensure all hiring activities follow labor regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies.
Employer branding and process improvement
- Support employer branding initiatives by presenting the company culture and values in recruitment campaigns.
- Look for ways to improve hiring processes through technology, automation, and established best practices.
- Assist with efforts that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment.
Qualifications and skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree is considered an advantage.
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR is expected.
- Strong understanding of sourcing methods, hiring channels, and ATS platforms is needed.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills are essential.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with different stakeholders in a fast-moving environment is important.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required, along with familiarity with HRIS and recruitment systems such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Loxo, Greenhouse, and Workday.
