Position summary
ATANGANA & SONS LTD is looking for a proactive and highly organized Recruitment Specialist to oversee the full hiring cycle. This role is responsible for finding, evaluating, and hiring suitable candidates while delivering a strong applicant experience and contributing to workforce planning and business growth.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with department leaders to understand hiring requirements and build recruitment plans.
- Create and post job adverts on suitable hiring channels.
- Find potential candidates through job portals, social platforms, referrals, and professional networks.
- Review applications and prepare a shortlist of suitable applicants.
- Carry out phone, online, and face-to-face interviews.
- Arrange interview timings with hiring managers.
- Run recruitment tests and background verification checks when required.
- Confirm candidate credentials, references, and previous employment details.
- Draft employment offers and assist with salary discussions within company rules.
- Keep recruitment files and applicant records accurate and up to date.
- Follow labor legislation, internal policies, and sound hiring practices.
- Build and sustain connections with universities, recruitment firms, and professional bodies.
- Compile hiring reports, recruitment metrics, and workforce planning updates.
- Assist with onboarding so new hires settle in smoothly.
- Strengthen the company’s employer brand to appeal to strong talent.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a similar discipline is required.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition is needed.
- HR certification will be considered an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of recruitment methods and interview approaches is necessary.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office is expected.
- Strong verbal and written communication, people skills, and organizational ability are important.
- Good analytical judgment and decision-making capability are required.
- The role demands discretion when handling sensitive information.
