Job description
Role Overview
Sunda International is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to oversee hiring activities and guide the recruitment team toward meeting staffing goals in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and support the recruitment team so hiring targets are consistently met.
- Handle the end-to-end hiring process, starting from workforce planning through to onboarding.
- Work with department heads to clarify current and future staffing needs.
- Create and execute practical sourcing plans and recruitment approaches.
- Review applications, interview candidates, and contribute to final hiring choices.
- Develop and keep active talent pools for upcoming vacancies.
- Track hiring performance indicators, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire.
- Make sure recruitment activities follow labor regulations, internal policies, and approved procedures.
- Support employer brand visibility through career events, social platforms, and hiring campaigns.
- Compile periodic recruitment updates and suggest ways to improve the process.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of recruitment experience is needed, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Solid understanding of hiring methods and candidate sourcing practices is expected.
- Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment tools/platforms is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-management abilities are essential.
- The role calls for good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Tanzania labour laws will be considered an advantage.
