Role overview

The Recruitment Manager will oversee hiring operations, coordinate client delivery, and ensure that recruitment outcomes are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires someone who can manage the full recruitment lifecycle, guide a team of recruiters and coordinators, and maintain strong client satisfaction through timely and quality placements.

Recruitment strategy and delivery

  • Develop and implement hiring approaches that reflect each client’s requirements and sector dynamics.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from briefing and candidate sourcing through screening, interviews, and final placement.
  • Build and sustain a strong candidate pool across multiple functions and industries.

Client and account management

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned client accounts and keep communication clear and consistent.
  • Gain a strong understanding of each client’s industry, operating model, and workforce needs.
  • Share shortlisted candidates, assessment feedback, and relevant market intelligence with clients.

Team leadership and performance management

  • Oversee, coach, and support recruitment consultants and coordinators.
  • Track team workload, review performance, and provide regular guidance and feedback.
  • Run internal learning sessions to strengthen the team’s recruitment capability.

Operations and reporting

  • Keep recruitment data accurate and up to date in the applicant tracking system and CRM.
  • Prepare and circulate weekly and monthly updates covering hiring progress, pipeline movement, and client activity.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.

Business development support

  • Assist with proposal development, candidate market research, and talent insights for prospective clients.
  • Partner with the business development team to turn leads into active recruitment assignments.
  • Contribute to client pitch discussions and presentations when required.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a similar discipline is required.
  • At least 4 years of recruitment experience is expected, ideally within an agency or HR consultancy environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a recruitment supervision or management position is required.
  • Working knowledge of regional and local hiring practices, together with labour law awareness, is important.
  • Proven success in managing high-volume recruitment or executive search assignments is needed.
  • The ability to produce a shortlist within 5 days of receiving a requisition is expected.

Key capabilities

The ideal candidate should bring strong leadership, client handling, and communication skills, along with practical experience using ATS and CRM systems, as well as sourcing platforms. A data-oriented approach, commercial awareness, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-moving environment are also important.
