Job description
Role overview
An expanding recruitment business based in Warrington is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join its team. The company is growing quickly and is offering a strong opportunity for someone ready to build on their current recruitment experience and progress further in their career.
This position is centred on business development within a Trades & Labour contracts desk, focusing solely on blue-collar recruitment. It is a full 360 role, covering sales, client relationships and candidate management. The desk is already warm, with existing clients, live vacancies and internal resource support in place to help deliver assignments.
Responsibilities
- Proactively contact prospects and secure new business opportunities.
- Visit client sites and meet customers face to face.
- Handle client requirements and ensure expectations are properly managed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the market.
- Use a variety of networking approaches to expand reach and generate new opportunities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in blue-collar recruitment on contracts desks.
- Proven ability to work towards targets and commercial goals.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing work independently.
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to work well with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Honest and trustworthy, with references expected.
- Ambitious, with a genuine interest in developing skills and progressing.
What’s on offer
The role comes with a basic salary of £35,000 to £45,000, along with a clear and generous commission structure. The business promotes a supportive culture with no micromanagement or unnecessary KPI pressure.
Additional benefits include flexible start and finish times, hybrid working with two days from home each week, low staff turnover, established client relationships, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, quarterly bonuses, and strong opportunities for career growth. The environment is described as warm and supportive, with significant earning potential for the right candidate.
Additional information
This is a role on an established desk with active clients, vacancies and support already available. The vacancy has been created due to company growth rather than replacement hiring.
