Job description
Role overview
This is a permanent full-time position based on-site in Seattle (SEA23). It is not a virtual role and relocation support is not provided.
The Recruiting Coordinator acts as an early touchpoint for candidates and is central to managing high-volume interview scheduling. The role serves as the primary link between candidates, recruiters, and interviewers, helping to create a smooth and positive hiring journey.
Because the work moves quickly, the coordinator must be able to handle several tasks at once and manage schedules across different time zones. The position calls for strong communication, careful record-keeping, and the ability to keep things running accurately even when plans change at the last minute.
Success in this role depends on being organized, detail-focused, responsive, and able to prioritize effectively under pressure while still working collaboratively with the wider team.
Key responsibilities
- Arrange both virtual and in-person interviews, as well as debrief sessions.
- Coordinate directly with candidates, hiring managers, business partners, and, when needed, travel arrangements for candidates coming from outside the city.
- Work with recruiters to meet service-level commitments and respond to business needs in a timely way.
- Share interview updates and follow-up communication with candidates.
- Look for ways to improve the candidate experience, scheduling workflows, and automation opportunities.
- Support onboarding and training for new team members in similar roles.
- Assist with other recruiting-related tasks as needed.
Working style and schedule
The day typically starts by reviewing the queue of scheduling requests and handling them according to priority and SLA requirements. The role involves communicating professionally with candidates across multiple time zones, managing interviewer availability, and responding quickly to reschedules while keeping accuracy high. Internal and external tools are used to organize virtual interviews and support in-person candidate visits.
The selected candidate must be willing to work five days per week from the Seattle office. The available schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
Application notes
Amazon uses English as its main business language, and interviewers may be located in different jurisdictions. All CVs must be submitted in English to be considered.
The company is committed to equal opportunity and does not discriminate based on veteran status, disability, or other protected characteristics. Candidates who need accommodations during the application, interview, or onboarding process can request support through the company’s accommodation process.
Compensation and benefits
The base pay for this role is USD 21.00 to 37.00 per hour. Final compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location. The overall package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D insurance, optional supplemental life coverage, EAP support, mental health support, a medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
