Job description
About the Company
Cursor is focused on building tools that help automate coding, with an early emphasis on creating the strongest possible product for professional programmers. The team combines research, product design, and engineering, and operates with a very flat structure, a small headcount, and a high concentration of talent. The culture values honesty, creativity, curiosity, debate, and a strong bias toward shipping.
About the Role
As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will help candidates feel welcomed at every stage while also making sure the hiring process runs smoothly for the team. The role blends scheduling, hospitality, and recruiting operations. It is a chance to help build the company from an early stage, and the people you help hire will directly shape Cursor's future. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys moving quickly, working in changing environments, learning constantly, and interacting with new people.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete interview scheduling flow so that candidates and interviewers are informed, prepared, and punctual.
- Shape a candidate journey that feels personal, friendly, and memorable, while adjusting your approach to different personalities and comfort levels.
- Maintain clear, prompt, and thoughtful communication with both candidates and hiring teams throughout the recruitment process.
- Work closely with recruiters, interviewers, and hiring managers to foresee needs, resolve issues as they arise, and keep hiring activity on track.
- Maintain the applicant tracking system, including Ashby, accurately and consistently so important details are not missed.
- Look for better ways of working and take action to improve recruiting operations continuously.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in recruiting coordination, recruiting operations, or a similar role in a fast-moving technical setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a habit of double-checking important information before sending it out.
- A proactive mindset that treats inefficiency as a challenge, with the ability to spot improvements and act on them independently.
- Genuine care for the experience of everyone involved in the hiring process, from candidates to interviewers to hiring managers.
- Composure and focus while managing many tasks and shifting priorities at the same time.
- A reputation for being dependable, responsive, and highly reliable.
- Comfort and ease when meeting new people, along with a naturally warm presence.
- Ability to handle confidential information with care and discretion.
- Experience with Ashby is a plus.
Work Environment
The company is small, highly collaborative, and fast moving, with an environment that rewards initiative, thoughtful problem-solving, and the ability to keep things running smoothly in a dynamic setting.
