Charter Diligence is a fully Australian-owned recruitment and management consulting firm with accreditation under various government workforce schemes including NSW Government SCM0007, SCM0012, SCM0020, the Australian Government BuyICT panel, and Queensland Local Government panels. We facilitate temporary, contract, and permanent staffing solutions for government entities, local councils, and private companies across Australia.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our Government and White-Collar Recruitment team in Sydney. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will be responsible for managing recruitment projects for white-collar roles within ACT Government, NSW Government, local councils, and private sector clients. You will focus on sourcing candidates, managing client relationships, and expanding our contractor network with full support from a dedicated Recruitment Support Coordinator who handles onboarding, compliance, reference and pre-employment checks, timesheets, and contractor administration.

Key Duties

  • Oversee recruitment assignments for white-collar roles across government and private clients.
  • Deliver recruitment services within the NSW Government SCM0007 categories.
  • Collaborate with the Director and fellow consultants to prioritize recruitment needs.
  • Source, evaluate, and interview candidates for temporary, contract, and permanent positions.
  • Develop compliant and accurate candidate submissions aligned with government panel deadlines.
  • Create clear candidate summaries addressing role criteria and selection standards.
  • Build and maintain talent pools for regular and challenging vacancies.
  • Foster strong connections with candidates, contractors, hiring managers, and procurement teams.
  • Maintain candidate communications throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Coordinate onboarding and compliance with the Recruitment Support Coordinator.
  • Keep consistent contact with contractors to support contract extensions and redeployments.
  • Promote job vacancies and source candidates proactively via job boards, referrals, and professional networks.
  • Aim to meet client delivery goals, contractor growth, and gross profitability targets.
  • Provide assistance with recruitment campaigns, workforce planning, and tender submissions when required.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience recruiting white-collar roles within government bodies, professional services, or recruitment agencies.
  • Practical knowledge using the NSW Government SCM0007 Contingent Workforce Scheme.
  • Understanding of government candidate submission procedures and panel deadlines.
  • Experience recruiting for temporary, contract, or labor hire positions.
  • Strong abilities in candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
  • Skilled in preparing detailed and effective candidate summaries and submissions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and candidate care competencies.
  • Ability to handle multiple urgent recruitment projects efficiently in a high-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Commercial orientation with a focus on achieving recruitment and contractor growth objectives.
  • Must have Australian work rights.

Preferred Attributes

  • Existing connections with ACT and NSW government agencies or local councils.
  • Experience managing multiple categories under SCM0007.
  • Familiarity with recruitment platforms such as Beeline, Fieldglass, and C.NET.
  • Handling high-volume or hard-to-fill recruitment assignments.
  • Good understanding of government procurement and contingent workforce operations.
  • Business development and client relationship growth experience.
