Role Overview
Odyssey Social Care is hiring an experienced Recruiter to support hiring for children’s residential social care across Ireland. This position is central to finding, engaging, and onboarding strong candidates who are committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
Work Location and Pattern
The role is based in Dublin and follows a hybrid setup. You will need to be on-site at Millbank House, Arkle Road, Sandyford Business Park, Dublin D18, D18C6R3 for at least 3 days each week. The job also involves attending meetings away from the office, as well as training sessions, career events, job fairs, and conferences when required.

What the Role Involves
This position requires a recruiter with a strong background in direct sourcing and international hiring. The successful candidate will play an important part in recruiting skilled professionals for children’s residential social care services across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for children’s residential care roles, including Social Care Workers, Team Leaders, and Managers.
- Create and run direct sourcing plans using job boards, social platforms, professional networks, and internal candidate databases.
- Lead hiring efforts that also attract suitably qualified candidates from both EU and non-EU countries.
- Ensure recruitment activity aligns with Irish employment legislation, CORU registration requirements, and Tusla guidance.
- Track and maintain recruitment data, metrics, and reports to support planning and decision-making.
- Represent the organisation at career fairs, open days, hiring events, and conferences.
Requirements
- Previous recruitment experience, ideally in social care, healthcare, or the nonprofit sector.
- Proven ability to source candidates directly and recruit internationally.
- Good knowledge of the Irish social care sector, especially children’s residential services.
- Understanding of CORU registration and Tusla Child and Family Agency standards.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while handling several hiring campaigns at once.
- Experience with ATS platforms and recruitment software to improve efficiency and support data-led decisions; familiarity with PinPoint ATS is an advantage.
- A degree or qualification in HR, Social Care, or a related area, or equivalent relevant experience, is preferred.
- Experience recruiting for trauma-informed or therapeutic care environments is desirable.
- Multilingual ability or experience working with people from varied cultural backgrounds is desirable.

Additional Information
