Role overview
This position supports all recreation-related activities at the property and helps create an enjoyable, relaxing experience for guests. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and is a non-management, full-time position within the Golf, Fitness, & Entertainment category.
Core duties
- Serve as a primary point of support for recreation services across the property.
- Share information with guests about available recreational facilities such as the pool, beach, entertainment or games area, gym, and children’s activity center.
- Encourage, invite, register, and organize guest participation in recreation programs.
- Help create a fun, calm, and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Explain and reinforce recreation area rules designed to protect guest and member safety and well-being.
- Monitor activity in the recreation spaces and respond appropriately to emergencies following local operating procedures.
- Provide cashier support in recreation venues that handle point-of-sale transactions.
- Assist with private events, group functions, and recreation-based activities when needed.
- Watch for unsafe situations that could make participation risky and report concerns to a supervisor or manager.
- Support injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Keep recreation facilities, equipment, and supplies clean and in good condition.
Service and safety expectations
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies and procedures, maintain a neat and professional appearance, and protect confidential company information and assets.
- Greet and serve all guests according to brand standards, anticipate service needs, and assist guests with disabilities.
- Use clear, professional communication and answer phone calls with proper etiquette.
- Build positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Process payments for equipment rentals, recreation activities, facility rentals, and retail sales.
- Maintain quality standards and meet expected service levels.
- Read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
- Inspect tools, equipment, or machines visually to identify issues.
- Use computers or point-of-sale systems to enter and retrieve job-related information.
- Perform additional reasonable job duties as assigned.
Working conditions
The role requires extended standing, sitting, and walking throughout the shift, as well as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and positioning items up to 25 lbs (11 kg) without assistance and heavier items with assistance. It also involves handling objects of different sizes and weights, working in tight or elevated spaces, moving over slippery, uneven, or inclined surfaces, using stairs or service ramps, and reaching above the head and below the knees.

Qualifications
Preferred education: High school diploma or an equivalent GED program. No prior related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
Required licenses and certifications include CPR certification, first aid certification, recreation and fitness equipment training, and any additional certification or training required by local and state agencies.
