Job description

Role overview

This position supports the recreation experience across the property by acting as a central point of contact for guest activities. The role involves sharing details about available leisure facilities such as pools, beach areas, entertainment spaces or game rooms, fitness facilities, and children’s activity areas, while helping create an enjoyable and relaxed environment for guests.

What you will do

  • Guide guests on recreation options and help them register, book, and join activities.
  • Promote a welcoming, fun, and comfortable atmosphere in all recreation areas.
  • Explain and enforce facility rules to help protect the safety and wellbeing of guests and members.
  • Monitor activity within recreation spaces and respond to incidents according to local operating procedures.
  • Handle cashiering and point-of-sale transactions where required.
  • Support private events and group activities hosted in recreation facilities.
  • Identify situations where a guest should not take part in an activity and escalate to a supervisor when needed.
  • Assist injured guests until emergency medical help arrives.
  • Keep recreation facilities, equipment, and supplies clean and in good condition.
  • Record accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Follow company policies, protect confidential information, maintain a professional appearance, and safeguard company property.
  • Greet guests according to service standards, address needs proactively, support guests with disabilities, and express appreciation courteously.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, answer phone calls appropriately, and work cooperatively with team members toward shared goals.
  • Process payments related to rentals, activities, facility use, and retail purchases.
  • Meet quality expectations, read and verify information carefully, inspect tools and equipment for defects, and use computers or POS systems to record work-related information.
  • Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, and moving through narrow, elevated, uneven, or slippery areas.
  • Carry out other duties reasonably assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. There is no prior related work experience required, and no supervisory experience is needed.
