About the Property
Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia Resort is a premium 5-star beach resort in South Goa, set amid 20 acres of landscaped greenery and located beside the white sands of Cavelossim Beach. The property features 181 villa-style rooms and is known for its tropical setting, relaxed atmosphere, and high-touch hospitality.
Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position in Madgaon calls for a Recreation Executive who can manage day-to-day recreation activities and facilities. The role focuses on creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for guests while ensuring recreation services run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and run leisure, sports, and wellness activities for guests.
- Manage daily schedules and ensure recreation programs are delivered on time.
- Check and maintain equipment, venues, and activity areas to meet quality standards.
- Work with other hotel teams to support guest experiences and special events.
- Handle guest questions, feedback, and service concerns in a prompt and professional way.
- Track participation levels and guest satisfaction across recreation offerings.
- Follow health, hygiene, safety, and risk-control practices at all times.
- Support basic reporting and budget monitoring for the recreation department.
Requirements
- Proven experience planning and leading recreational, sports, or leisure activities in a hotel, resort, club, or similar setting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills for interacting with guests and addressing queries.
- Well-developed planning, scheduling, coordination, and record-keeping abilities.
- Working knowledge of safety, hygiene, and risk management for facilities such as pools, gyms, and outdoor activity areas.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, depending on business needs.
- Comfortable in a guest-facing role and able to engage with people of different ages and backgrounds.
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality, Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Prior exposure to hotel, resort, or recreation operations is an advantage; first aid or lifeguard certification is a plus.
