Job description
Role overview
This position sits within the Value Recovery function and partners closely with the NPI Coordinator and wider operational teams to spot and act on opportunities to recover additional value. The role is embedded in RRL and third-party processing environments, with a strong presence on the production floor to study workflows, review output streams, and identify items that can be moved higher up the recovery funnel.
It is a practical, detail-focused investigation role. The successful candidate will be expected to challenge existing disposal choices, test assumptions, and uncover value that may otherwise go unnoticed. Insights from the role will support the wider recovery approach led by the NPI Coordinator.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor processes and material flows across RRL and third-party operations to uncover overlooked recovery opportunities.
- Review output streams and end-of-line materials to identify parts or sub-assemblies that can be redirected for higher-value recovery.
- Question existing disposition decisions when there is a chance to achieve better recovery outcomes.
- Collaborate with RRL and third-party operations teams to understand current workflows and pinpoint where value is being lost.
- Record observations and share recommendations with the NPI Coordinator to shape the wider recovery strategy.
- Help roll out new recovery processes identified through on-the-floor analysis.
- Support additional value recovery and reverse logistics work as needed by management.
