About the Role

The City of Newcastle is seeking a dedicated Recovery and Care Coordinator to join their permanent team. This role is centered on guiding injured employees through their recovery and return-to-work process, ensuring safe and sustainable outcomes. You will collaborate with employees, management, healthcare providers, and treatment professionals to offer expert injury management support and coordinate customized recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and support throughout employees' recovery journeys.
  • Develop and implement effective return-to-work strategies and injury management plans.
  • Facilitate early intervention initiatives to promote timely recovery.
  • Engage and build trusted relationships with employees, leaders, medical practitioners, and treatment providers.
  • Contribute to fostering a workplace culture that values employee wellbeing and care.

Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should have relevant tertiary qualifications and practical experience either in a similar role or within an allied health discipline. Proven expertise in injury management and return-to-work processes is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate and collaborative approach, balancing empathy with effective outcomes.
