Overview
This is a project-based opportunity on an AI training platform, not a traditional employment role. There are no fixed shifts or long-term commitments; you take on recording tasks only when they suit your schedule. Compensation is tied to the recordings you complete.
About the role
The project seeks people who can capture point-of-view footage of ordinary home activities. You will wear or mount a smartphone so the camera shows what you see while you carry out normal routines. The recordings are used to help train AI systems and robots to better understand how humans handle objects and move through real-world environments.
This can include simple everyday tasks such as doing dishes, vacuuming, walking a dog, folding clothes, or similar household activities.
Responsibilities
- Film everyday domestic tasks from a first-person viewpoint, such as cooking, cleaning, organizing, folding laundry, gardening, and walking a dog.
- Capture footage in your home, yard, garage, or another suitable workspace.
- Adhere to the brief instructions provided for each recording session.
- Submit the completed videos through the project application.
Requirements
- You need access to a phone or camera device that can record at 1080p or higher at 30 FPS or above.
- Suitable devices include iPhone 11 or later, Google Pixel 6 or newer, or Samsung Galaxy S21+; a wide-angle 0.5x lens is required.
- The device must be positioned at forehead or eye level to create an egocentric view, with the camera angled downward so hands remain visible.
- You must use the designated D&A app for recording and uploading the data.
- Videos should be steady, well-lit, clear, at least 15 seconds long, and show purposeful tasks without long pauses or staged movements.
Compensation
You can earn up to the equivalent of $10 per hour, depending on the specific project.
Work style
This is freelance, project-based work, so you can accept sessions whenever they fit your availability.
