Job description
About the Role
This position supports the mission of the Church by providing foundational receptionist services at the Pacific Area Office in Auckland. The role focuses on managing routine front desk operations under direct supervision, handling straightforward issues with basic receptionist expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and screening visitors upon arrival
- Answering incoming phone calls, directing them appropriately, and taking messages when necessary
- Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and correspondence
- Utilizing computer applications to verify employee information and scheduled appointments
- Operating standard office equipment such as copiers
- Ordering and maintaining office supplies
- Organizing and managing office files
- Completing other assigned tasks as required
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic to developing knowledge of receptionist duties
- Professional communication skills
- Proficiency in using and maintaining common office equipment
- Ability to follow directions and instructions accurately
- Effective interpersonal skills for working collaboratively and professionally with others
- Customer service orientation
- Physical capability to sit for extended periods, move within the office to distribute mail and items, and operate computer equipment
