Role overview
The Glasshouse Hotel in Sligo is seeking a friendly, experienced full-time receptionist/front-of-house team member to help keep the reception area running smoothly in this award-winning hotel.
This position is based on site and follows standard reception rota patterns, including an early shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm and a late shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm.
Key duties
- Manage guest arrivals and departures efficiently, ensuring check-ins and check-outs are handled smoothly.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of guest service and customer care.
- Respond to guest questions and requests promptly and professionally.
- Handle reservations calls and booking-related tasks in an organised and efficient manner.
- Carry out a range of administrative duties as needed to support the front desk.
Skills and experience
The hotel is looking for someone with strong customer service experience, excellent spoken and written English, and the ability to stay composed in a busy, high-pressure environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important, along with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and members of the public. Experience with Hotsoft or a similar front office system would be an advantage.
