About the Role
Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, seeks a dedicated Receiving Officer to join our Finance team. Located overlooking Marina Bay, our hotel is a sanctuary of luxury and sophistication. The Receiving Officer will ensure accurate receipt of all deliveries, verifying quantity, price, weight, quality, and specifications in compliance with HACCP and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strictly follow hotel Receiving Policies and Procedures along with MOHG Food Suppliers Management Policies to maintain full compliance.
- Ensure timely documentation and filing of all delivery records and related paperwork.
- Monitor received items for conformity to quantity, quality, price, weight, and specifications, enforcing receiving guidelines.
- Inform purchasing staff promptly regarding any undelivered goods.
- Manage and update food supplier audit files to maintain HACCP and MOHG standards compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving and loading areas.
- Accurately post invoices of goods received into the procurement system daily.
- Verify posted invoices against the Daily Invoice Summary before forwarding them to Accounts Payable.
- Perform any additional receiving-related duties as directed by the Director of Cost Management.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least two years of experience in a similar receiving role, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Strong work ethic, commitment, and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
