Role Overview
As a Real-time Planner, you will be responsible for delivering efficient, accurate, and safe workforce planning for the nursing team. The role is based in Runcorn, England, is full time at 35 hours per week, runs Monday to Friday, and offers hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance nursing service demand and supply so that the right nurses, with the right skills and support, are assigned to the right place at the right time.
- Use the workforce planning platform, Total Mobile, together with standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and support continuous improvement through technology-enabled live planning.
- Maintain the planning system so that all records remain correct, current, and reliable at all times.
- Produce regular analytical management reports from the system and deliver them within the required deadlines.
- Review available data to spot trends and potential risks so future planning can be improved.
- Follow applicable legislation, including the Working Time Directive, when creating rotas and staffing patterns to support safe working practices and reduce business risk.
Experience and Qualifications
- Hands-on experience using IT systems to support workforce planning and scheduling.
- Proven ability to manage several competing priorities while working to tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trust, credibility, and professional relationships.
- A track record of contributing to continuous improvement through creative and innovative ideas.
