Job description

About The Role

Sucali's newly established investment team aims to build the foundational infrastructure to drive rapid portfolio expansion across global markets and asset classes. This is achieved through close collaboration with Real Estate, Statistics, and Technology teams throughout every phase of portfolio growth, from strategy formulation and research to lead generation, funnel management, and final investment choices.

We are seeking a Real Estate Investment Analyst to play a key part in shaping how Sucali approaches real estate investment decisions. Reporting directly to the Director of Real Estate, this vital position entails performing both quantitative and qualitative analysis, conducting market research, developing financial models, and overseeing due diligence. Joining the team early offers the opportunity to influence the investment decision framework, product offerings, and processes.

In this role, you will contribute to the overall growth strategy and deliver investment recommendations involving multimillion-dollar transactions to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop due diligence materials for real estate deals including research, financial modeling, and executive summary creation.
  • Execute sophisticated financial models and credit analyses for real estate transactions utilizing proprietary data and tools.
  • Coordinate due diligence procedures acting as the communication bridge between local city teams and headquarters.
  • Evaluate potential deals and formulate credit opinions for presentation to senior leadership.
  • Monitor hospitality and real estate market trends to inform market entry and site selection strategies.
  • Analyze real estate documents such as leases and financing options to optimize company value while minimizing credit risk.
  • Support lead qualification and management strategies to enhance deal flow.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least five years of professional experience in a quantitative discipline, preferably in commercial real estate, real estate investment banking, or underwriting.
  • Minimum five years' experience underwriting hospitality and multifamily properties.
  • Three or more years engaged in quantitative analysis and building financial models.
  • At least one year of experience in property management within real estate or hospitality sectors.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SQL is mandatory.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation skills, and interpersonal abilities.
