Position Overview

We are seeking a responsible and skilled Ready Mix Truck Driver to safely operate concrete mixer trucks and deliver loads to residential and commercial construction sites in the Santa Barbara and Ventura regions. This role involves maneuvering through various environments, including uneven terrain, and handling extension chutes weighing between 30 to 50 pounds to facilitate precise concrete pouring.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety regulations to maintain a safe workplace.
• Ensure timely and secure transportation of concrete to designated job sites.
• Manage concrete discharge effectively, adapting to diverse site conditions.
• Attach and control extension chutes for targeted concrete placement.
• Keep the ready-mix truck clean and mechanically sound through routine maintenance.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and team members for smooth operational coordination.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B).
• High school diploma is preferred.
• Must be eligible under the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse regulations.
• Proficiency in English including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Maintain an acceptable CSA and driving record: no DUI/DWI within the past 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations over the last 3 years.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards specific to construction and transportation.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow direction from supervisors.
• Familiarity with local traffic routes and basic truck maintenance is beneficial.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Mandatory use of protective equipment and adherence to all safety protocols.
• Work will be performed in outdoor industrial settings with exposure to variable conditions.
• Physical activities include frequent walking, sitting, lifting weights up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and climbing.

Compensation

The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $29.98 to $38.83, dependent on market location, experience, skills, and education.
