Role Overview

The Radiology Transcriptionist will evaluate and refine radiology report texts produced by speech AI and other generative AI technologies. Working closely with a Transcription Manager and Machine Learning Research team, the role demands ensuring reports are precise, comprehensive, and comply with both national clinical standards and Rad AI's internal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Review and edit radiology reports generated from clinician dictations and AI transcription tools.
Confirm the accuracy of medical and anatomical terminology and ensure proper report format and consistency.
Strictly comply with HIPAA and Rad AI's data annotation procedures.
Provide detailed feedback regarding typical errors, inconsistencies, and audio quality issues in dictated or AI-generated content to assist the enhancement of future speech recognition models.

Candidate Profile

Minimum five years' experience in medical transcription.
Strong grasp of medical terminology, especially imaging and diagnostic-related terminology.
Exceptional attention to detail with sensitivity to individual grammatical nuances.
Experience with speech recognition software, transcription tools, and collaboration platforms such as Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace.
Capability to work independently with availability aligned to U.S. business hours for team coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with speech-to-text AI applications and/or experience in data annotation for large language model training.
Possession of certification in medical transcription or healthcare documentation (e.g., CHDP, CHDS, RHDS) or specialized training in radiology transcription.
