Role Overview

We are looking for full-time Radiology Patient Scheduling Representatives to support a major healthcare client. This position is centered on arranging diagnostic imaging appointments and creating a professional, reassuring experience for patients who need timely access to care. The work is performed from home and involves handling scheduling for services such as MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and related radiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange radiology and diagnostic imaging appointments according to physician orders and department guidelines.
  • Check imaging requests for completeness and correctness before confirming appointments.
  • Collect and confirm patient demographics, insurance details, and registration data.
  • Handle incoming calls from patients, physician offices, and healthcare providers about imaging visits.
  • Explain preparation steps, required documents, arrival instructions, and what patients should expect during the procedure.
  • Coordinate dates and times based on modality availability, provider requirements, and patient needs.
  • Confirm insurance details and authorization requirements when applicable.
  • Record scheduling actions and patient conversations accurately in the appropriate systems.
  • Follow HIPAA, HITECH, and company confidentiality rules at all times.
  • Deliver courteous, empathetic, patient-focused support throughout every interaction.
  • Work toward productivity, quality, and customer service targets in a busy call center setting.
  • Be available for shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM EST as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Epic EMR/EHR is required.
  • Ability to use Epic scheduling, registration, and patient access workflows effectively.
  • Experience reviewing orders, patient details, insurance information, and appointment data in Epic.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in healthcare scheduling, patient access, call centers, medical offices, or customer service is preferred.
  • Radiology scheduling experience is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic imaging procedures is preferred.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Clear verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to protect confidential and sensitive patient information.
  • Comfort using multiple software tools and electronic medical record systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-moving healthcare setting.
  • Dependable work ethic and a strong commitment to patient service.
  • Must pass a background check and a Medicare fraud check before employment.

Work Schedule and Environment

This is a full-time W-2 remote position. Standard schedules are assigned after training and run Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM EST. Training is scheduled from 8:00 AM EST to 4:30 PM EST. A high-speed, reliable internet connection is required, and employees must maintain a professional, distraction-free home office.

Compensation

Pay is $18 per hour.
