About the Role
This seasonal position at Blue Mountain Resort involves managing the daily communications and administrative duties for the Blue Mountain/Jozo Weider Race and Freestyle programs. The Race Administrator collaborates closely with fellow administrators, supervisors, and management, serving as a sales representative for these programs and supporting interfacing with various on-site departments such as snow school, guest services, sales, marketing, and summer activities. The role also includes staff scheduling, payroll oversight, and assistance with events on race days.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily communication and administration for the Race and Freestyle programs in partnership with full-time staff and leadership.
- Act as the point of sale for Race and Freestyle program participants and families, and support internal race events as needed.
- Coordinate regularly with snow school, sales, guest services, marketing, and other recreational departments.
- Maintain staff records and assist with scheduling and payroll management for race and event personnel.
- Provide operational support during race and event days, indoors and outdoors.
- Promote an excellent guest experience in all interactions.
Candidate Requirements
- Two to four years of administrative experience required; prior experience at Blue Mountain is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business or administration is beneficial.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Preferred background in skiing, racing, freestyle activities, coaching, or ski instructing.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from mid-December through the end of March.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older and able to provide a Criminal Background Check.
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly wage of $21.43.
- Flexible work hours with options for part-time (approx. 2-3 shifts weekly) or full-time (approx. 4-5 shifts weekly).
