Role Summary
We are searching for a proactive and seasoned R&D Manager specializing in Organic Synthesis to spearhead our research initiatives. The selected candidate will guide a team focused on organic chemistry innovations and oversee the development and optimization of synthesis methodologies aligned with the company's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a scientific team in organic synthesis research.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for organic synthesis aligned with business objectives.
- Champion innovation in organic synthesis techniques and processes.
- Supervise design, conducting, and refinement of experimental procedures in organic synthesis.
- Collaborate with analytical chemistry, process engineering, and product development teams to integrate synthesis research effectively.
- Keep updated with advances in organic chemistry and adapt new technologies in the R&D workflow.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all research activities.
- Promote a collaborative, knowledgeable, and continuously learning team environment.
- Efficiently manage project budgets, resources, and schedules to meet goals.
- Present progress, insights, and strategic proposals to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD or MSc in Organic Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of industrial experience in organic synthesis research.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing R&D teams and projects successfully.
- In-depth knowledge of diverse organic synthesis techniques, modern methodologies, and characterization methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude with a drive for innovation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating across departments.
- Skilled in project management, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Familiarity with pertinent safety practices, quality benchmarks, and regulatory obligations.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments and adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
