Quantity Surveyor - Civils/Highways

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor with expertise in Civils and Highways for a permanent position based in Bolton. The role offers a competitive remuneration of up to £60,000 along with a car allowance. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with the flexibility of one day working remotely each week.

Leave and Holidays

The position includes 35 days of annual leave inclusive of bank holidays. Additionally, there is a Christmas shutdown period during which 7 days of leave are to be taken.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct site measurements and prepare detailed weekly cost and production reports.
• Collaborate with site teams to evaluate and develop quotations and cost estimates.
• Manage subcontractor relationships including handling enquiries, placing orders, and assessing payments.
• Prepare valuations and submit them to clients in a timely manner.
• Interpret technical drawings and instructions, coordinating with site teams and clients to finalize cost estimates.
• Negotiate rates and services with subcontractors ensuring alignment with project expectations.
• Promptly agree on final accounts with all stakeholders involved.
• Work closely with finance and administrative teams to facilitate the preparation and settlement of accounts.
• Support the Financial Director and the finance team in compiling monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Perform any additional tasks as reasonably requested by company management.
