Role Overview
The Quantity Surveyor will handle all responsibilities related to cost and quantity estimation throughout project phases. This role is full-time and based onsite in Coimbatore. Key duties include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), monitoring and controlling project expenditures accurately, and ensuring alignment with budgets. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and suppliers is essential to track costs, evaluate variations, and aid contract and tender processes by delivering timely cost analyses and support documentation.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in Cost Control and Management to maintain project budgets.
- Skilled in preparing Bills of Quantities and performing quantity take-offs for precise estimation and tender preparation.
- Proficient in Cost Planning and Reporting to facilitate progress tracking and forecasting.
- Competent in using MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying or estimation software tools.
- Possession of a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or closely related fields.
- Strong analytical, numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with local building codes, construction standards, and contract terms is advantageous.
- Previous experience in construction or infrastructure quantity surveying or cost engineering roles is preferred.
