Job description

Role overview

Crypto.com is forming a new quantitative research function centered on pricing, market making, and risk modeling for prediction markets. This role is very hands-on and expects someone who can work across the full workflow: data engineering, research, modeling, and direct partnership with traders. The work spans both sports and non-sports event markets, covering contract types such as single-outcome markets, player props, and parlays.

What you will do

  • Create the data layer needed to convert raw information into usable pricing inputs.
  • Design and improve quantitative models for pricing, market making, and risk across sports, non-sports, player props, parlays, and correlated markets.
  • Analyze dependencies between markets, correlation structures, and portfolio-level impacts, with special attention to combinatorial products like parlays.
  • Work side by side with traders to strengthen pricing rules, expand market coverage, and improve trading results.
  • Develop frameworks for backtesting, simulation, and validating model performance.
  • Build monitoring tools to track calibration, P&L attribution, live trading behavior, and overall model health.
  • Help shape the team’s tooling, operating processes, and research standards from the ground up.

What the role calls for

  • A strong quantitative foundation in statistics, mathematics, machine learning, economics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Prior experience building models in trading, sports, betting, prediction markets, or similar environments.
  • Advanced Python and data skills, including comfort with both data pipelines and model development.
  • The ability to go quickly from raw data to actionable research and then into production-ready outputs.
  • High ownership, strong communication skills, and comfort working in a fast-moving, high-growth setting.
