The company places emphasis on inclusion, respect, empowerment, and appreciation for every team member.
Role Overview
This is a night-shift position, usually arranged over a rotating 3- or 4-day workweek, with each shift lasting 12 hours. In this role, you will deliver first-line quality engineering assistance to production and serve as the on-shift quality lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and close non-conforming lots placed on hold, making sure the process is completed quickly and fully aligned with procedure.
- Evaluate product builders in training and determine whether they are ready for certification.
- Review measurement equipment calibration failures, understand the product impact, and take follow-up action to contain affected material.
- Partner with Engineering on first article layout reviews and the qualification of new equipment.
- Carry out test method validation for product acceptance activities.
- Track, analyse, and present quality performance metrics, then act on any negative trends.
- Support cleanroom monitoring activities and investigate any out-of-control findings.
- Act as the main quality contact during the shift and guide production teams on quality-compliance best practices.
- Assess how unplanned maintenance may affect the validated state of a process and confirm the process is restored before equipment returns to production.
- Contribute to site transformation initiatives when required.
- Lead yellow belt problem-solving teams to address quality compliance or performance concerns.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
- Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Familiarity with QSR and FDA expectations.
- Comfort with general dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Useful experience with coordinate measuring machine (CMM) operations.
- Ability to work with production tracking software and spreadsheets.
Background Required
A STEM degree is required for this role. Previous experience in a quality-focused position would be an advantage.
