About the role

Join a global mobility company in Kingston, Ontario as a full-time Quality Inspector. In this position, you will help maintain product conformity and support strong manufacturing performance within a collaborative production environment.

You will work with production and quality assurance teams to carry out inspections, confirm that products meet required standards, and help validate rework activities. The role also involves using digital systems to capture inspection outcomes and supporting elementary production unit (EPU) managers during handovers and quality-focused shop-floor activities.

Key duties

  • Inspect products and verify that they comply with the Quality Control Plan.
  • Document inspection findings in industrial digital tools.
  • Assist EPU managers with station-to-station handovers.
  • Lead or support quality animations at workstations with EPU managers.
  • Use basic problem-solving methods, including 5W analysis, to help resolve issues.
  • Review and approve rework activities.

Required experience and qualifications

  • Associate degree; a technical concentration is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Comfort working with different types of test equipment.
  • At least 4 years of experience in quality inspection within manufacturing, including work with digital tools.
  • Experience handling operational tasks and maintaining documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Careful, methodical, and rigorous work style.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Rail industry experience is considered an advantage.

Compensation

The expected annual pay for this position is CAD 65,000 to CAD 73,000, along with benefits. Final compensation will depend on skills, experience, and internal equity.
