A solid nursing background, especially in clinical settings, along with strong analytical ability and close attention to detail, is essential. In this remote healthcare position, you will work with clinical teams to explain findings, assist with staff education, and support continuous improvement efforts. Your work will have a direct effect on patient outcomes by promoting accurate, consistent, and compliant documentation across home health services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Examine patient charts and clinical records to confirm they are complete, accurate, and aligned with national and state healthcare rules.
  • Perform audits and documentation checks to uncover gaps, compliance issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Review OASIS documentation to verify correct use of standards in home health records.
  • Draft detailed audit summaries, spot recurring patterns, and present findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Gather, interpret, and evaluate quality improvement data to assess performance and outcomes.
  • Work alongside clinical teams to share findings and help improve patient care delivery.
  • Take part in educating healthcare staff on documentation standards and OASIS fundamentals.
  • Contribute to quality assurance work and support broader process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • An active Registered Nurse license in a U.S. state or compact state that is eNLC eligible.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of healthcare experience, including a minimum of 1 year in home health.
  • Background in quality improvement, compliance, auditing, or a similar healthcare function.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and compliance expectations.
  • Prior exposure to OASIS coding and home health documentation is highly desirable.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Good communication skills with the confidence to present findings and partner with clinical teams.
  • Careful attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex medical records accurately.

Benefits

  • Compensation that is competitive and aligned with experience and healthcare market benchmarks.
  • Work-from-home setup with full-time remote flexibility.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage as part of a comprehensive healthcare package.
  • Access to professional growth opportunities in quality improvement and clinical compliance.
  • Exposure to advanced home health documentation systems and related standards.
  • A collaborative, mission-focused environment centered on improving patient outcomes.
  • Stable employment within a large integrated health system.
