Quality Control Team Leader – Washing Powder

About the Role

Sunda International, located in Kajiado, Kajiado County, Kenya, seeks a Quality Control Team Leader with expertise in the washing powder sector. As the QC Team Leader, you will direct and support a team responsible for upholding product quality standards throughout various production stages, including inspection of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide laboratory technicians in performing comprehensive quality inspections on raw materials, packaging components, in-process, and finished products using established company protocols.
• Identify, document, and swiftly address any product quality discrepancies during the manufacturing process; promptly report issues to management and ensure corrective measures are implemented effectively.
• Organize and preside over regular quality control team meetings to review team achievements, discuss challenges, and share best practices; support the supervisor in the delivery of training and periodic skill assessments for QC staff.
• Assist in enforcing compliance with company labor policies, monitoring QC performance metrics, and facilitating incentive or corrective programs as needed within your team.
• Maintain on-site adherence to 5S standards; conduct routine checks and upkeep of testing equipment to promote accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency within the QC lab.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Holding a diploma or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Analysis, or a related technical specialty.
• Hands-on experience working in a washing powder production facility, with a solid understanding of manufacturing quality control practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel, to manage reports and data analysis.
• Demonstrated strengths in communication, team leadership, organization, coordination, and analytical decision-making.
