Job description
Overview
The Quality Control Officer ensures that all quality control operations comply with company standards and regulatory requirements, particularly those set by the RTA and other authorities. The role involves collaboration with Operations teams to maintain adherence of drivers and vehicles to operational guidelines and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Transport Authority directives and align quality control operations with organizational goals.
- Perform daily quality inspections and prepare reports on findings.
- Communicate identified errors and concerns promptly to Operations and Fleet departments.
- Regularly inspect sites to assess drivers’ and vehicles’ operational compliance with regulations.
- Support drivers onsite in resolving issues such as vehicle breakdowns and addressing customer complaints.
- Provide site inspections and assistance as required by the Transport Authority.
- Conduct unscheduled spot checks and field visits to verify adherence to regulatory standards.
- Manage compliance with new project requirements, including those related to Expo2020.
- Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with Transport Authority Quality Control Inspectors and coordinate inspection activities.
- Collaborate internally to uphold quality standards throughout the organization.
- Implement corrective actions based on incident investigations in coordination with the QHSE team.
- Prepare quality control reports in accordance with established standards.
- Identify drivers whose performance or compliance is unsatisfactory and report for potential disciplinary measures.
- Promote a positive culture of quality among colleagues, employees, visitors, subcontractors, regulators, and customers.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School certificate or Diploma.
- Understanding of quality control principles relevant to the industry.
- Holder of a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License.
- Effective communication skills.
- Quick adaptability to the corporate culture and operational practices.
- Proficient in IT applications including MS Office, DAX, and RTA portals.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
