Company Overview
Rahul Engineering Global Pvt Ltd is a design and manufacturing company that builds process equipment such as heat exchangers, reactors, columns, and pressure vessels for the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, food, and beverage sectors. The organization has about 80 employees, including shop-floor workers, and reported revenue of around 35 Cr.
Role Summary
This position is for a Quality Control Engineer with strong experience in inspecting heavy fabricated equipment and related machining work. The role is suitable only for professionals who have worked in similar industries and on equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and vacuum furnaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspection work for fabricated and tested equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, condensers, columns, storage tanks, reactors, and vacuum furnaces.
- Check raw materials received against drawings, the quality assurance plan, and purchase orders.
- Study and verify fabrication drawings, QA documentation, and inspection/testing procedures.
- Coordinate inspections with third-party inspection agencies and their representatives.
- Review welding documentation such as WPS, PQR, and WPQ, and ensure compliance with welding requirements.
- Witness non-destructive testing activities and interpret results, especially for LPT and RT.
- Monitor stage-wise and final inspections as per drawing requirements, QAP, and customer specifications.
- Prepare inspection reports in line with the quality assurance plan.
- Record and raise non-conformances found during inspection, and suggest corrective and preventive actions.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, the design team, and the production team.
Technical Requirements
- ASNT Level II certification or equivalent capability in RT, PT, and UT.
- Strong understanding of fabrication inspection and testing for pressure equipment and vacuum furnaces.
- Working knowledge of ASME code sections related to pressure vessel construction.
- Hands-on experience inspecting machined components such as body flanges and tube sheets, including post-fabrication machining of vacuum furnaces on HBM, VTL, VMC, and similar machines.
- Familiarity with helium leak testing.
- Knowledge of IBR and U Stamp compliance will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of welding processes and related quality documents.
- Comfortable using inspection tools such as surface profile gauges, DFT meters, ultrasonic thickness gauges, welding gauges, and other measuring instruments.

Education
B.Tech / B.E. in Production and Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Additional Information
The job is based in Pune, India. The offered compensation is in the range of INR 5,00,000 to INR 7,00,000 per year.
