About the Role
As a Quality & Compliance Manager at Gaston Schul, you will be pivotal in enhancing our international Quality & Compliance framework. Collaborating closely with the Quality & Compliance Director and colleagues across various European countries, you will ensure that compliance is not only documented but actively applied within everyday operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advance and deploy group-wide Quality & Compliance structures.
- Standardize and improve customs compliance processes.
- Develop customs and trade risk management strategies, including Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) initiatives.
- Support local Quality & Compliance consultants and operational teams across multiple nations.
- Provide consultancy to internal stakeholders such as sales, operations, and management.
- Participate in digitalizing and automating compliance-related processes.
- Identify risks and translate legislation into practical operational guidelines.
Candidate Profile
You are experienced in customs, trade compliance, or customs advisory roles and understand how to make compliance practical within commercial and operational settings.
- Minimum of 3 years in customs, trade compliance, customs advisory, or related functions.
- Knowledge of customs procedures across one or several EU countries.
- Experience with compliance and risk management systems, preferably including AEO.
- Educational background in law, taxation, business administration, supply chain, finance, or customs.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch or German, as well as English.
- Proven ability to organize processes, engage teams, and implement improvements effectively.
- Relevant experience may include customs consultant, trade compliance manager, AEO expert, customs auditor, inhouse customs manager, or advisory firm consultant.
