About the Role
BURN is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician to work closely with the QC team, production staff, and research and development team. The role focuses on making sure inspection and testing procedures are properly introduced, followed, and sustained, while also contributing to the creation of standards that support quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the New Product Development and Operations teams by gathering test results, preparing reports, and sharing quality observations throughout the testing phase.
- Make sure the production documents in use follow the required document control process and version update rules.
- Review data to spot product quality patterns, defects, and recurring issues, then help prevent them from happening again by identifying root causes and recommending or applying fixes.
- Inspect quality jigs, fixtures, tools, and equipment to confirm they are properly calibrated and current.
- Verify that finished products satisfy the company’s standards as well as customer requirements for quality and product integrity.
- Confirm that manufacturing activities align with relevant industry standards and regulations, while also highlighting opportunities to strengthen quality control processes.
Required Background and Skills
The ideal candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering background, along with at least 2 years of total experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong report-writing ability, good command of Microsoft Office, knowledge or training in GD&T, and a basic understanding of CAD are also expected.
