Role overview
This opportunity is for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a fast-moving manufacturing setting in County Kildare. The position focuses on improving quality systems, supporting lean ways of working, and helping the site meet strong regulatory and industry expectations.
You will work across the quality function and with other teams to strengthen processes, resolve quality issues, and support ongoing improvement. The role is hands-on and data-driven, with a strong emphasis on compliance, product standards, and practical problem-solving.
Role details
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- Pay is listed at €35,000 to €40,000, depending on experience.
- Location: County Kildare, Ireland.
- Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- No weekend work is required.
What the role involves
- Helping introduce and improve lean systems and quality procedures to raise manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and compliance.
- Running internal quality audits to check alignment with company rules and external standards.
- Investigating non-conformances using structured root cause methods and putting corrective and preventive actions in place.
- Supporting continuous improvement work aimed at reducing defects and improving operational performance.
- Handling quality issues and customer feedback through to resolution.
- Working with the Quality Manager and wider teams to build and implement quality plans and SOPs.
- Supporting the adoption of process improvements that meet national and international quality requirements.
- Analysing data to spot trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Tracking KPIs and preparing reports that help guide decision-making.
- Creating trend analysis and insight reports for improvement initiatives.
- Supporting and delivering quality training and awareness sessions across the business.
- Maintaining inspection activity and supporting consistent product release decisions.
Candidate profile
- You should hold a third-level qualification in Science, Food Science, Engineering, Production, or a similar field.
- Experience or exposure to Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methods would be an advantage.
- You need strong analytical ability and a sharp eye for detail.
- Good communication skills are important, along with the ability to work well across different teams.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is expected.
- You should be proactive and comfortable working in a busy, practical manufacturing environment.
