Job description

Role overview

This position is for a Quality Assurance Technician based in Singapore. The role focuses on inspecting mechanical and electronic parts, carrying out tests, recording quality findings, and supporting day-to-day quality control operations in a manufacturing setting.

Key duties

  • Check mechanical and electronic components visually to confirm they meet the required product standards.
  • Run functional checks with standard testing instruments and equipment.
  • Identify minor faults in test equipment and perform simple corrective repairs when needed.
  • Track QC activity to ensure daily inspection and production goals are achieved.
  • Record inspection outcomes accurately and escalate any defects or deviations from specification.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to clarify product tolerances, specifications, and quality expectations.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in quality processes and operational efficiency.
  • Follow internal quality controls as well as applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Keep the work area tidy, well-organised, and safe at all times.

Requirements

  • A technical qualification or certification in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred; IPC, OSHA, or SMTA credentials are an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical knowledge of inspection techniques, quality procedures, and testing tools.
  • Strong eyesight and the ability to spot small component issues accurately.
