Role Overview
V1 Aero is hiring a full-time, remote Quality Assurance Specialist to strengthen and improve the quality management system supporting line maintenance operations. The person in this role will examine documentation, maintenance records, and operational procedures to confirm alignment with internal rules, customer expectations, and applicable regulations. The position also involves reviewing quality data, spotting trends and nonconformities, and suggesting corrective and preventive measures. In addition, the specialist will contribute to internal and external audit activities, help refine quality procedures, and support training for team members on quality-related processes. Close coordination with maintenance, operations, and management teams will be important to support consistent quality, safety, and performance across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Check maintenance records, documentation, and procedures to confirm they meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Review quality-related information to identify patterns, risks, and recurring nonconformities.
- Recommend practical corrective and preventive actions based on findings and root-cause analysis.
- Support planning, execution, and reporting for internal and external audits.
- Help develop, update, and improve quality procedures and documentation.
- Assist in training employees on quality processes and compliance expectations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain quality, safety, and operational consistency.
Requirements
- Hands-on knowledge of quality assurance and quality control methods used to assess processes and verify compliance.
- Experience building, implementing, or improving quality management systems and related documentation.
- Understanding of GMP or similar structured regulatory standards and the ability to apply those principles in maintenance operations.
- Experience with quality audits, including preparing for audits, conducting them, and documenting results.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret data, diagnose root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for reports, procedures, and training materials.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setup while coordinating with distributed teams.
- Background in aviation, aerospace, or maintenance operations is preferred, along with knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
- Quality management or auditing certification/training such as ISO or ASQ is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, aviation, or a similar discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Information
This is a full-time remote position based in the United States. Experience in aviation, aerospace, or maintenance operations is preferred but not mandatory. A professional qualification or training in quality management or auditing is considered helpful. The role is centered on maintaining high safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement across the organization.
