Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Asese, Ogun State. This individual will be responsible for verifying that all products adhere to defined safety, quality, and regulatory standards by closely monitoring manufacturing processes. Key duties involve routine inspections, product testing, and comprehensive documentation of quality metrics throughout production. The specialist will work closely with production personnel to apply corrective measures, uphold Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, and drive continuous enhancement efforts.
Key Duties
- Review batch production records daily to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor sanitation and hygiene practices across the production environment.
- Assist with internal quality audits and support external regulatory inspections.
- Update and maintain quality procedures and checklists regularly.
- Provide training to team members regarding quality standards and protocols.
- Address and investigate customer feedback related to product quality concerns.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in Quality Control and Quality Assurance techniques to maintain product safety and consistency.
- Experienced in Quality Management system development, documentation, and improvement initiatives.
- Knowledgeable in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements for food production.
- Capable of performing quality audits to assess compliance internally and support external inspections.
- Educational background in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP and relevant packaged food regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, close attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communicator able to collaborate efficiently with on-site production and operations teams at Asese, Ogun State.
