Job description
Role overview
Cambridge Design Partnership is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join its Management System team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will help maintain compliance with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS) while supporting day-to-day quality and governance activities across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Keep the non-conformance process running smoothly, including monitoring and upkeep.
- Administer the corrective and preventive action process, the improvement opportunity process, the change control process, the customer complaints process, and the supplier control process.
- Manage document control for both the management system and project documentation.
- Draft and update management system documents as needed.
- Run the internal audit process, including audit scheduling, handling internal audit reports, and logging findings in the eQMS.
- Carry out internal audits to help verify adherence to SOPs and quality requirements.
- Organize certification audits and client evaluations, including calendar booking, room and attendee coordination, agenda support, and live audit assistance.
- Maintain the standards library by reviewing and approving requests, processing purchases, and managing renewals.
- Support management review meetings through scheduling, minute taking, and action tracking.
- Work with process owners to compile monthly quality metrics and KPI reporting.
- Handle information security incident administration.
- Use the helpdesk ticketing system to manage routine tasks.
- Become proficient in the eQMS platform and provide system administration support, including validation where needed.
- Train colleagues on management system processes and help onboard new starters.
- Contribute to project teams to ensure project work follows management system requirements.
- Support compliance training needs for both the management system and the wider business.
- Provide additional administrative help for quality management activities as required.
- Assist the Management System Lead and support general operations tasks when needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in quality-focused roles, ideally within an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or ISO 27001 certified environment.
- Background working in a Quality Assurance function.
- Document control experience is essential.
- Prior exposure to non-conformance handling, corrective and preventive actions, supplier control, and internal audits is preferred.
- Experience with external audits is an advantage.
- Previous use of an eQMS platform is preferred.
- Strong initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to work.
- Sharp attention to detail with a systematic mindset and the ability to spot process gaps and errors.
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to take on new responsibilities and learn continuously.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting tasks.
- Good communication and people skills, with the ability to work well across teams.
- Collaborative working style.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capability.
- Routine administrative experience, including filing, meeting coordination, and minute taking.
- Confident computer user with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar software quickly with limited guidance.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
