Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Officer will be based in Lagos, Nigeria and will support manufacturing quality activities to ensure compliance with GMP and related standards across production and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee dispensing activities for raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Carry out daily IPQA checks in line with the frequency set out in SOPs, BMRs, and BPRs, and close out IPQA observations and line clearance actions promptly.
  • Conduct validation sampling according to the approved validation protocol.
  • Examine batch records, including BMRs and BPRs.
  • Make sure in-process checks are documented on time and according to approved procedures.
  • Inspect BSR and shipper checks as required by SOP.
  • Issue, review, and reconcile department formats and records.
  • Release BMRs and BPRs to the production team for batch processing after receiving the requisition.
  • Maintain cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene standards across departments and support continuous GMP compliance on the plant floor.
  • Ensure production and warehouse balances, as well as other measuring instruments, are verified or calibrated daily and that records are properly maintained.
  • Support training of industrial trainees and interns.
  • Protect the quality and integrity of all GxP data and documentation generated.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in IPQA or QA within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or another related Life Sciences discipline.
