Quality Assurance Manager

Role overview

PETRONAS Technical Services Sdn Bhd is hiring a full-time remote Quality Assurance Manager based in the United Arab Emirates. In this position, you will shape and strengthen the organization’s quality framework by building, rolling out, and continuously refining quality systems, standards, and operating procedures across projects and service areas.

What you will do

• Develop and improve quality management systems, policies, and procedures across the business.
• Plan, schedule, and carry out audits to verify adherence to internal requirements and external regulations.
• Track quality performance, study trends in the data, and convert findings into practical improvements.
• Lead corrective and preventive action efforts to address issues and reduce repeat non-conformities.
• Prepare management reports and dashboard updates for leadership review.
• Guide technical teams through root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving sessions.
• Coach team members on quality practices and help build capability across functions.
• Work closely with operations and engineering stakeholders to align quality priorities.
• Maintain documentation, support certification-related activities, and keep records audit-ready.
• Promote quality awareness and a strong sense of risk control throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Solid experience with quality management systems, including ISO-based frameworks, audit planning, audit delivery, and continuous improvement methods such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Proven ability to create, implement, and maintain QA policies, procedures, and controls in technical, engineering, or energy-related environments.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to read quality metrics, spot patterns, and recommend improvements backed by evidence.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills for collaboration across remote and cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience in risk evaluation, root-cause analysis, and solving quality or reliability issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field; advanced qualifications or certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Lead Auditor are a plus.
• Experience in energy, oil and gas, petrochemicals, or heavy industry is strongly preferred.
• Good organizational and time-management skills, along with comfort using digital collaboration and documentation tools in a remote environment.
